2015年，富士通母公司决定了两件大事：一是确定将手机制造业务重心转向「Rakuraku」，即老龄化群体细分市场；二是决定拆分富士通手机业务。2016年FCNT正式作为富士通全资子公司开始独立运营，与此同时原属于富士通外设公司（Fujitsu Peripherals Limited）的移动设备制造业务被分拆，成立了新公司 Japan E.M. Solutions（JEMS）。两年后日本私募基金 Polaris Capital 收购FCNT 70%股份，富士通的血统其实已经稀薄至几乎不可闻，不过FCNT仍然坚持大部分产品的核心制造在位于兵库县的JEMS加东工厂（Yashiro Plant）完成，这也是唯一仍然在日本本土进行制造与组装的手机公司。尽管在2020年先后发布的Arrows 5G与Arrows NX9均定位高端市场，但有着「日本总大将」的噱头却仍然难以撑起销售额。
